Our Commitment to Reconciliation
At Alphington Grammar School, we are committed to fostering a community where Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander histories, cultures, perspectives and achievements are valued, respected and celebrated. We recognise that meaningful reconciliation is an ongoing journey that requires reflection, learning, partnership and action.
As part of this commitment, the School is currently developing its Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP). This important work is being undertaken in consultation with our community and will provide a framework to strengthen cultural understanding, build respectful relationships and create opportunities for all members of our School community to engage in reconciliation in meaningful and lasting ways.
Throughout this year, we will progressively introduce our Reconciliation Action Plan to students, staff, families and the wider School community. The RAP will guide our actions across teaching and learning, community engagement, cultural awareness and organisational practices, ensuring that reconciliation becomes an integral part of life at Alphington Grammar School.
We acknowledge that reconciliation is a shared responsibility, and we look forward to working together with our community as we continue to learn, grow and contribute to a more inclusive and respectful Australia.
