Alphington Grammar School are currently seeking to fill the following positions.

Alphington Grammar School is a co-educational school catering for students in ELC to Year 12. The School is seeking an experienced and qualified Brass Teacher – French Horn to join a talented team of music professionals in our thriving Music Department commencing Term 4, 2024.

This position will involve instrumental music teaching for 2.5 hours per week with the possibility to grow student numbers.

Please note that this role is casual and term-time only.

The ideal applicant will have:

  • Suitable instrumental qualifications for the role
  • Demonstrated teacher experience with individuals and small groups
  • Ability to engage students 6 – 18 years old
  • Capacity to teach beginners and advanced students
  • Experience in preparing students for music exams
  • Willingness to work within the school timetable
  • Passion and enthusiasm for teaching music to students
  • Ability to work in a team
  • A current Working With Children Check (WWCC) or willingness to obtain one.

We are seeking an experienced, motivated, and enthusiastic Education Service Support Assistant to work with the Classroom Teacher supporting students in the Primary and Secondary School that have a variety of individual learning needs. The ESSA help to support the educational program and work under the direction and supervision of relevant educators to assist learning and monitor behaviour. The ESSA must demonstrate a calm, caring and respectful manner and model the School’s values to a high standard at all times.

Education Service Support Assistant (ESSA)- Full time (Maternity Leave Replacement Position -Term time only) to commence Term 4, 2024.
