Current Availabilities 

Alphington Grammar School are currently seeking to fill the following positions.

Alphington Grammar School is a Co-educational School catering for students in ELC to Year 12. The School is seeking an experienced and qualified Violin teacher to join the talented team of music professionals in its thriving Music Department.  Ideally, the preferred applicant will have the ability to teach violin, viola and piano, however this is not essential.

The position will involve instrumental tuition for approximately 4 hours per week, with the potential to grow.

Ideally the successful candidate will be available for an immediate start.  This is a casual role and term-time only.

The ideal applicant will have: 

  1. Suitable instrumental qualifications for the role.
  2. Demonstrated teacher experience with individuals and small groups.
  3. Ability to engage students 6 – 18 years old.  
  4. Capacity to teach beginners and advanced students.
  5. Experience in preparing students for music exams. 
  6. Willingness to work within the school timetable.
  7. Passion and enthusiasm for teaching music to students.
  8. Ability to work in a team. 
  9. A current Working with Children Check or willingness to obtain one.
