Academic Scholarships are available to current and prospective students entering Years 5 to 10 in 2028.
Scholarships are awarded to students who demonstrate exceptional academic ability across the following areas:
· Verbal Reasoning
· Numerical Reasoning
· Reading Comprehension
· Writing Tasks
Eligibility Requirements & Additional Information:
· Student must be an Australian citizen or permanent Australian resident.
· Applicants must register through Edutest and pay the application fee of $95 (plus GST) by 12:00pm on Friday 5th February 2027.
· Applicants will sit the Edutest exam (3 hrs duration) at Alphington Grammar School on Saturday 20th February, 2027. All communication following registration, including enquiries regarding the testing day or the purchase of sample tests, should be directed to Edutest on Ph 03 9014 1411 or via email info@edutest.com.au.
· Applicants will be informed of the outcome of the Scholarship once results by the end of Term 1, 2026. Individual Scholarship test results will not be disclosed.
· Successful applicants will be offered a Scholarship expressed as a percentage of tuition fees only. Other fees and levies are excluded.
Academic Scholarship holders are expected to:
· Continue to maintain their academic performance across curricular programs.
· Complete their education at Alphington Grammar School. Please refer to the AGS Scholarship Policy for further information.
The Academic Excellence Scholarship is awarded at the sole discretion of the Principal. No correspondence pertaining to any individual’s application, or the award will be entered into once The School has made its decision. Alphington Grammar School reserves the right to withhold a Scholarship if no suitable candidate fulfils the criteria as deemed appropriate by the Selection Committee.
