Seatbelts on our School Buses
Alphington Grammar School are committed to ensuring the well-being of our students during their commute to and from school. While school buses are a safe mode of transportation, wearing seatbelts can provide an extra layer of protection in the event of an accident or sudden braking. Seatbelts have been proven to reduce the risk of injury and save lives, and it is our responsibility to encourage their use.
We kindly request that all students on our school buses wear their seatbelts at all times. We believe that establishing this practice is crucial for their safety. Encouraging the use of seatbelts not only aligns with our commitment to safety but also helps to foster responsible behaviour among our students.
We kindly ask parents to support in reinforcing the importance of wearing seatbelts with your child. Please discuss this matter with them and explain why seatbelt usage is vital for their well-being. Emphasize that the school’s expectation is for them to wear their seatbelts consistently and responsibly throughout their journey to and from school.
Your support and cooperation in encouraging seatbelt usage on school buses is greatly appreciated.

CSEF Application
CSEF is provided by the Victorian Government to assist eligible families to cover the costs of school trips, camps and sporting activities.
If you hold a valid means-tested concession card or are a temporary foster parent, you may be eligible for CSEF. The allowance is paid to the school to use towards expenses relating to camps, excursions or sporting activities for the benefit of your child.
If you would like to apply for this allowance, please fill out the form attached and return it via email to our Business Manager, Mrs Louisa Johnstone, LJO@ags.vic.edu.au by 15 July 2023.
If your child has started at Alphington Grammar in 2023, please ensure that they have been removed off CSEF at the previous school in order to receive this funding at AGS.
Please note, if you applied for CSEF last year at AGS, you do not need to complete an application form this year unless there has been a change in your family circumstances.
Second Hand Uniform Shop
Our second hand uniform shop is open each Thursday of school term from 8:45 -9:45am.
Any donations of pre-owned good quality school uniforms can be left with reception and are greatly appreciated.
