Congratulations to the Class of 2025

It is with great pride that we celebrate the outstanding VCE achievements of the Class of 2025.
We congratulate our 2025 Dux, George Mouratidis (ATAR 99.3), who placed in the top 1% of the state and earned a perfect score of 50 in General Mathematics. We also acknowledge Dux Proximus, Raphael Young (ATAR 98.45), on his exceptional results.
This year’s cohort performed with distinction, achieving a median study score of 31 and a median ATAR of 73.5, with 40% of students scoring above 80 and 17% above 90.
This year, 15.65% of students achieved study scores of 40+, including perfect scores from Mannon Verma (General Mathematics) and Samuel Lavercombe (Software Development). Students earned 40+ results across a wide range of subjects, showcasing the breadth of talent within our school community.
These accomplishments reflect not only academic excellence but also the resilience, commitment, and well-rounded character of our students, many of whom balanced leadership, community service, co-curricular involvement, and part-time work alongside their studies.
Congratulations to the Class of 2025. We are immensely proud of all you have achieved and look forward to seeing the positive impact you will make in the years ahead.

Gateways 2025

The 2025 International Gateways tour brings learning and culture to life. This year’s international trip has been a one month immersion in Turkey, Gallipoli and Greece. Year 10 students and staff began the tour in September travelling to Turkey, visiting cultural and ancient sites, markets and bizarres then onto Gallipoli to walk in the footsteps of the ANZACs. The tour then travels to Greece including historic and cultural sites of Athens, Rhodes and other Greek Islands.

Gateways – a unique Alphington Grammar learning experience

Experiential Learning forms the basis of the deep cultural understanding Alphington Grammar students develop. Unique to Alphington Grammar, we challenge students to learn more about themselves and their world through local, National and International experiences. Each Gateways journey incrementally builds leadership opportunities and growth, from camps in Victorian alpine and costal areas, interstate and Central Australia and longer International immersions.

Stelios

The touching story of a child from a Pontic refugee family who managed to survive and thrive against all odds, thanks to his immense talent and resilience in the face of social and personal challenges. Music, love, family, friends, fishing, creativity, people of the night, hardcore fans, and intense conflicts come together to create the mosaic of his life.

This film is a tribute to legendary singer, Stelios Kazantzidis, whose voice touched the hearts of all Greeks around the world. A film for those who loved him and those who wish to discover him.

Congratulations to the Class of 2024 on their outstanding VCE results.

The Class of 2024 consistently exhibited emotional maturity, a shared commitment to supporting one another, and found joy in their learning journey while prioritising their mental health.

Supported by our dedicated teaching staff and families, subjects in which our students excelled with study scores above 40 included: English, English Literature, General Mathematics, Psychology, Business Management, Visual Communication and Design, Legal Studies, Global Politics and Biology.

The Class of 2024 achieved outstanding results:

ATARs above 80 in the top 20% of the State.
Average ATAR 75 – above the State average
Median ATAR was 30

The Dux of the School Joudy Sallam, achieved an ATAR of 97.85, placing her in the top 3% of the State.

University offers across a wide range of disciplines, showcased the strengths of our students’ academic and personal achievements. Studies in Medicine, Health Science, Business and Economics were particularly well-represented within this cohort.
