Congratulations to the Class of 2025

It is with great pride that we celebrate the outstanding VCE achievements of the Class of 2025.
We congratulate our 2025 Dux, George Mouratidis (ATAR 99.3), who placed in the top 1% of the state and earned a perfect score of 50 in General Mathematics. We also acknowledge Dux Proximus, Raphael Young (ATAR 98.45), on his exceptional results.
This year’s cohort performed with distinction, achieving a median study score of 31 and a median ATAR of 73.5, with 40% of students scoring above 80 and 17% above 90.
This year, 15.65% of students achieved study scores of 40+, including perfect scores from Mannon Verma (General Mathematics) and Samuel Lavercombe (Software Development). Students earned 40+ results across a wide range of subjects, showcasing the breadth of talent within our school community.
These accomplishments reflect not only academic excellence but also the resilience, commitment, and well-rounded character of our students, many of whom balanced leadership, community service, co-curricular involvement, and part-time work alongside their studies.
Congratulations to the Class of 2025. We are immensely proud of all you have achieved and look forward to seeing the positive impact you will make in the years ahead.

Stelios

The touching story of a child from a Pontic refugee family who managed to survive and thrive against all odds, thanks to his immense talent and resilience in the face of social and personal challenges. Music, love, family, friends, fishing, creativity, people of the night, hardcore fans, and intense conflicts come together to create the mosaic of his life.

This film is a tribute to legendary singer, Stelios Kazantzidis, whose voice touched the hearts of all Greeks around the world. A film for those who loved him and those who wish to discover him.

AGS 35-Year Winter Gala Ball

To celebrate our 35-year anniversary, it is with great pleasure that we invite all families, grammarians and friends of Alphington to join us for our themed “Winter Nights” Ball on Saturday 1 June, 2024 in the Ballroom at the Park Hyatt.

This promises to be a very special evening for us all as we celebrate our School’s history, academic success, and the heart of our school: our community. The night will include entertainment by the band ‘The Baker Boys’ and DJ Vath, lead by our Master of Ceremony, Mr Con Laz. We will also be revealing the winners of our raffle and silent auction on the night, which everyone is welcome to join.

In addition to these prizes, the school has commissioned a custom designed piece of jewelry to be auctioned on the night.

When purchasing a ticket, you will need to book onto a table. To book a full table, you can:

Book and pay for the whole table yourself. Note that you will be required to provide names of all guests at the time of booking, or;
Book your own seats on a table and have your guests book onto the same table number separately. Please note, we cannot ensure that other guests will not book onto your table with this method.

If you would like to stay at the hotel the night of the event, we are happy to provide some event-exclusive offers. Please note, the below offers cannot be combined:

AGS 35-Year Twilight Festival

We are offering Senior (A) and Junior (J) rides. Senior wristbands are $25 for unlimited rides if you pre-purchase before 11:59 on Wednesday 28th of February OR $30 on the day. Junior wristbands are $20 for pre-purchased unlimited rides OR $25 if you purchase on the day.

Pre-purchase ticket sales will close Wednesday 28th February at 11.59pm. After this point, they must be purchased on the day. Wristbands can be purchased and collected from the ticket booth on Friday 1st March after 3.30pm. Our Rides Include:

Cyclone: Ages 8 – Adult (Senior wristband)

Atomic Drop Slide: Ages 5 – Adult (Junior/Senior wristband)

Dodgem Cars: Ages 5 – Adult (Junior/Senior wristband)

Turbo Tubs: All ages (Junior/Senior wristband)

Chair-O-Plane: Ages 4 – 10 (Junior wristband)

Terms and conditions apply. Wristbands are non-refundable nor are they transferable. Wristbands must be worn at all times as ride operators will not allow entry onto rides. Any wristbands ordered after Wednesday 28th February will be charged at the Friday price. Rides operate until 8.30pm.
